Christopher Brinson

Christopher Brinson brings over two decades of leadership experience in defense policy and strategic congressional affairs to his role as a Principal at Williams & Jensen, PLLC. Most recently, he served as Chief of Staff to Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, where he was instrumental in guiding legislative efforts on key national security and defense issues, including the development and passage of the National Defense Authorization Act.
Brinson’s tenure with Chairman Rogers spanned from 2003 to 2015, initially serving as Deputy Chief of Staff before being promoted to Chief of Staff in 2015. His leadership was pivotal in shaping defense policy and ensuring the success of the Chairman’s legislative priorities. Chairman Rogers has praised Brinson’s impact, stating that his leadership was crucial to his success in securing two Chairmanships, noting the lasting respect and admiration Brinson earned from staff in both Washington, D.C., and Alabama.
In addition to his work with Chairman Rogers, Brinson’s Capitol Hill career includes serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director for Rep. Marge Roukema (R-NJ). His reputation as a trusted leader in congressional circles further underscores his extensive experience. Before his Capitol Hill career, Brinson served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1997 to 2006, which added depth to his commitment to national service and leadership.
