Senate: The Senate continued processing nominations and confirmed Daniel Driscoll to be Secretary of the Army and Jamieson Greer to be U.S. Trade Representative. They passed S.J.Res.11, Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management relating to ‘‘Protection of Marine Archaeological Resources.’’

 

House: The House passed the House FY25 Budget Resolution (H.Con.Res.14).

Trump Administration: President Trump continued to sign Executive Orders including Implementing the President’s “Department of Government Efficiency” Cost Efficiency Initiative, Making America Health Again by Empowering Patients with Clear, Accurate, and Actionable Healthcare Pricing Information, and Addressing the Threat to National Security from Imports of Copper

 

Next Week in Congress

 

Senate: The Senate will reconvene on Monday, March 3 and is expected to continue processing nominations including Linda McMahon to be Secretary of Education. They may consider the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act (S.9)

 

House: The House will reconvene on Monday, March 3 and are expected to consider S.J.Res.11, Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management relating to ‘‘Protection of Marine Archaeological Resources.’’
