Chief of Staff to Armed Services Chair joins Williams & Jensen

Washington, D.C. — On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Williams & Jensen, PLLC announced that Christopher Brinson, former Chief of Staff to House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL), will join the firm as a Principal.

Christopher brings over two decades of experience from his time working in Chairman Mike Rogers’ office. From 2003 to 2015, Christopher served as Deputy Chief of Staff, before being promoted to Chief of Staff in 2015. His leadership helped guide Chairman Rogers’ efforts on key defense and national security issues, including the development and passage of the National Defense Authorization Act.

“Chris’ influence on my office is immeasurable. My staff in Alabama and DC revere him, and without his help, I would not have successfully run for two Chairmanships. I have some of the longest serving staff on Capitol Hill and that’s in part to what Chris has done for our team," said Chairman Rogers.

In addition to his tenure with Chairman Rogers, Christopher's extensive Capitol Hill career includes working with Rep. Marge Roukema (R-NJ), where he served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director, earning a reputation as a trusted leader in congressional circles. Prior to his work on Capitol Hill, Christopher served in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1997 to 2006, achieving the rank of Captain. His military service further underscores his commitment to public duty and leadership.

“We are excited to welcome Christopher Brinson to Williams & Jensen,” said Susan Hirschmann, CEO of Williams & Jensen. “With his extensive experience in defense policy and strategic congressional leadership, Christopher will be a tremendous asset to our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of defense policy and beyond.”

At Williams & Jensen, Christopher will lead the firm’s defense portfolio, leveraging his strategic political management skills and deep understanding of the legislative process to provide high-level counsel to clients.

“Throughout my years on the Hill, I’ve always had a deep respect for the work and the team at Williams & Jensen,” said Brinson. “I’m truly honored to now be a part of this exceptional team, and I look forward to leveraging my unique relationships and policy expertise to contribute to the continued success of the firm and our clients.”
