This Week in Congress

  • Senate – The Senate confirmed several nominations and considered H.R.4366, the Military Construction and Department of Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill. 
  • House – The House passed the Fight CRIME Act (H.R. 3152), the Accurately Counting Risk Elimination Solutions (ACRES) Act (H.R. 1567), and the Preserving Choice in Vehicle Purchases Act (H.R. 1435). H.R. 4365, the Department of Defense Appropriations bill, was scheduled to come to the House floor but did not. 
  • Biden Administration – On September 13, the White House issued a fact sheet discussing the release of an updated technical assistance guide that focuses on federal and state technical assistance programs aimed at accessing and deploying Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and Inflation Reduction Act funding.  

Next Week in Congress

  • Senate – The Senate will reconvene on September 18 and will focus on appropriations bills. The Senate will consider pending amendments to H.R. 4366, including Murray amendment #1205 and Murray-Collins substitute amendment #1092.  
  • House – The House will reconvene on September 18 and will focus on appropriations bills.
