WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Thursday, May 11, 2023, Williams & Jensen, PLLC announced that former Congressman Kurt Schrader (D-OR-05) will be joining the firm as a Principal, after more than 25 years in public service. Prior to joining Williams & Jensen, Schrader most recently served in the U.S. House of Representatives representing Oregon’s 5th Congressional District. While in Congress, Schrader served on the Energy and Commerce Committee, where he developed an extensive knowledge in a wide range of issues including health care, energy, animal health, agriculture, conservation, telecommunication, and international trade. He also served on the House Committee on Agriculture, where he served on the Farm Bill Conference Committee, the House Committee on Small Business, and the House Budget Committee. Schrader was a member of the Blue Dog Coalition and the New Democrat Coalition. He was also a member of the only bipartisan working group in the House, the Problem Solvers Caucus.
