  • Senate – The Senate voted 67-28 to proceed with legislation to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq (S. 316). The Senate also confirmed judicial and defense nominations.
  • House – The House began consideration of the Parents Bill of Rights Act (H.R. 5) and is scheduled to complete consideration of the bill today.

Next Week in Congress

  • Senate – The Senate is scheduled to reconvene on Monday, March 27 at 3:00 PM and resume consideration of legislation to repeal the authorizations for use of military force against Iraq (S. 316). The Senate is scheduled to vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the bill at 5:30 PM on Monday.
  • House – The House is scheduled to reconvene on Monday the 27th and is expected to debate the Lower Energy Costs Act (H.R. 1).
