  • Senate – The Senate confirmed the nominations of Linda Thomas-Greenfield to be ambassador to the United Nations, Tom Vilsack to be Secretary of Agriculture, and Jennifer Granholm to be Secretary of Energy.

Next Week in Congress

  • House – The House is scheduled to consider the For the People Act (H.R. 1), and the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act (H.R. 1280).
  • Senate – The Senate will take up the American Rescue Plan Act shortly after it passes the House. The Senate is also expected to vote on the nominations of Miguel Cardona to be Secretary of Education, Cecilia Rouse to be Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, and Gina Raimondo to be Secretary of Commerce.
