As a reminder, during Tuesday’s session of the Senate, Senator McConnell filed cloture on Executive Calendar #645, John Peter Cronan, of New York, to be United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York. That cloture petition will ripen one hour after the Senate convenes on Thursday, August 6th, and the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Cronan nomination.
