This Week’s Update

The House passed H.R. 4, “The Voting Rights Advancement Act,” S. 151, “The Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence (TRACED) Act,” and H.R. 2534, “The Insider Trading Prohibition Act.” The House also passed H. Res. 326, a resolution expressing support for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The House Judiciary Committee held public hearings in the impeachment inquiry into President Trump.

Next Week in Congress

  • House – The House is expected to vote on H.R. 3, “The Lower Drug Costs Now Act.” Additional public hearings on the impeachment inquiry into President Trump are expected next week.
  • Senate – The Senate is expected to vote on the nominations of Stephen Hahn to be Commissioner of the FDA and John Sullivan to be ambassador to Russia. The Senate will also continue its consideration of judicial nominations.
