The Senate will recess from 12:30pm until 2:15pm to allow for the weekly caucus meetings.

During Monday’s session of the Senate, Senator McConnell filed cloture on the Shelby substitute amendment #948 (CJS/Ag/Interior/THUD appropriations), on the underlying bill H.R.3055, and on the motion to proceed to H.R.2740, (Defense/LaborH/Energy and Water/State, Foreign Ops appropriations). If cloture is invoked, the filing deadline for first degree amendments to Shelby substitute amendment #948 and the underlying bill H.R.3055 is 2:30pm on Tuesday. The second degree filing deadline is one hour prior to the cloture vote.

If no agreement is reached, under the rule, the cloture vote on Shelby substitute amendment #948 would occur one hour after the Senate convenes on Wednesday. Another message will be sent when the vote is scheduled.
