This Week’s Update

The House passed H.J. Res. 46, which would terminate the President’s national emergency declaration related to the U.S.-Mexico border. The House also passed H.R.1112, “The Enhanced Background Checks Act;” H.R. 8, “The Bipartisan Background Checks Act;” and S. 47, “The Natural Resources Management Act.”

This Week in Congress

  • Senate – The Senate confirmed the following nominations: Eric Miller to be United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit; Michael Desmond, to be Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service; and Andrew Wheeler, of Virginia, to be Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.
