This Week’s Update

The House passed H. J. Res. 31, “The Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2019,” which provides funding for nine Cabinet departments including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for FY 2019, preventing a government shutdown.  President Trump signed it into law today, and simultaneously declared a national emergency related to border security. The House also passed H.R. 1079, “The Creating Advanced Streamlined Electronic Services for Constituents Act.”

This Week in Congress

  • House – The House passed H. J.   • Senate – The Senate passed H. J. Res. 31 “The Consolidated Appropriations Act for FY 2019,” and S.47, “The Natural Resources Management Act.” The Senate also voted to confirm William Barr to be Attorney General.
