  • On Wednesday, August 15th, the Senate will convene at 12:00 noon. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will proceed to Executive Session and resume consideration of the Quattlebaum nomination.
  • Following the resumption of the Quattlebaum nomination, the Senate will recess until 2:15pm for the Republican caucus meeting.
  • At 5:30pm, there will be a roll call vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the Quattlebaum nomination. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours of post-cloture debate prior to a vote on confirmation of the nomination. Upon disposition of the nomination, there would be a cloture vote on the Richardson nomination.
  • We expect Senator McConnell to turn to the consideration of H.R. 6157, Defense-Labor-HHS-Education appropriations, following disposition of those nominations.
