This week The House passed “EPA Science Advisory Board Reform Act of 2017” (H.R. 1431); the “Honest and Open New EPA Science Treatment Act of 2017” (H.R. 1430); and S. J. Res. 34, to disapprove of the Federal Communications Commission rule relating to “Protecting the Privacy of Customers of Broadband and Other Telecommunications Services.”

  • Senate –The Senate ratified the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949 on the Accession of Montenegro; and passed H.J. Res. 67, to disapprove of the Department of Labor rule relating to savings arrangements established by qualified State political subdivisions for non-governmental employees; and H.J. Res. 43, disapproving of the Department of Health and Human Services final rule relating to compliance with title X requirements by project recipients in selecting sub-recipients.

 

Next Week in Congress

  • House -The House is expected to vote on “Supporting America’s Innovators Act of 2017” (H.R. 1219); the “Encouraging Employee Ownership Act of 2017” (H.R. 1343); and the “Self-Insurance Protection Act” (H.R. 1304).

 

  • Senate –The Senate will on the nomination of Elaine Duke to be Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.
