This Week’s Update

This week The House passed the Senate amendment to the “TSCA Modernization Act of 2015” (H.R. 2576) and the “Zika Vector Control Act” (H.R. 897). The House voted down the “Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017” (H.R. 5055) by a vote of 112 – 305.

This Week in Congress

  • House – The House passed the Senate amendment to the “TSCA Modernization Act of 2015” (H.R. 2576) and the “Zika Vector Control Act” (H.R. 897). The House voted down the “Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017” (H.R. 5055) by a vote of 112 – 305.

 

  • Senate – The Senate adopted H.J. Res. 88, to disapprove of the Department of Labor’s rule regarding the definition of the term “fiduciary” and passed S.J.Res.28, to disapprove of the Department of Agriculture’s rule related to the inspection of catfish. The Senate invoked cloture on the motion to proceed to the “National Defense Authorization Act” (S. 2943). The vote on “TSCA Modernization Act of 2015” (H.R. 2576) was postponed due to an objection from Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).
