  • Unanimous consent agreement: Agreed by unanimous consent that the question of adopting a motion to recommit on the conference report to accompany H.R. 644 may be subject to postponement as though under clause 8 of rule 20.
  • Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015: The House agreed to the conference report to accompany H.R. 644, to reauthorize trade facilitation and trade enforcement functions and activities, by a recorded vote of 256 ayes to 158 noes, Roll No. 693.
  • Rejected the Doggett motion to recommit the conference report to the committee of conference with instructions to the managers on the part of the House, by a yea-and-nay vote of 172 yeas to 239 nays, Roll No. 692.
  • H. Res. 560, the rule providing for consideration of the conference report to accompany the bill (H.R. 644) and providing for consideration of the Senate amendments to the bill (H.R. 2250) was agreed to by a recorded vote of 236 ayes to 174 noes, Roll No. 691, after the previous question was ordered by a yea-and-nay vote of 236 yeas to 177 nays, Roll No. 690.
  • Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2016: The House agreed to the Rogers (KY) motion to concur in the Senate amendments to H.R. 2250, making appropriations for the Legislative Branch for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2016, by voice vote.
  • H. Res. 560, the rule providing for consideration of the conference report to accompany the bill (H.R. 644) and providing for consideration of the Senate amendments to the bill (H.R. 2250) was agreed to by a recorded vote of 236 ayes to 174 noes, Roll No. 691, after the previous question was ordered by a yea-and-nay vote of 236 yeas to 177 nays, Roll No. 690.

  • At 5:00pm, the Senate will enter Executive Session to consider the nomination of Alissa M. Starzak to be General Counsel of the Department of the Army. There will be 30 minutes of debate followed by a roll call vote on confirmation of the nomination.
  • Following disposition of the Starzak nomination, the Senate will vote on confirmation of Executive Calendar #394, 395, and 396; we expect them to be confirmed by voice.
