  • Measures Passed:
    • Truth in Settlements Act: Senate passed S. 1109, to require adequate information regarding the tax treatment of payments under settlement agreements entered into by Federal agencies, after agreeing to the following amendment proposed thereto:
    • Lankford (for Vitter) Amendment No. 2668, to apply the disclosure requirements to settlements between agencies and private entities and require information regarding the use of funds collected under settlement agreements.
    • Mandatory Price Reporting Act: Senate passed H.R. 2051, to amend the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 to extend the livestock mandatory price reporting requirements, after agreeing to the committee amendment in the nature of a substitute.
  • Measures Considered:
    • Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act–Agreement: Senate resumed consideration of the motion to proceed to consideration of H.R. 36, to amend title 18, United States Code, to protect pain-capable unborn children.
    • A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing for further consideration of the motion to proceed to consideration of the bill at approximately 10 a.m., on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, with the time until 11 a.m. equally divided between the two Leaders, or their designees.

  • The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
  • Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R.36, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, with the time until 11:00am equally divided between the two Leaders or their designees. At 11:00am the Senate will vote on the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.36. Senators should expect a second vote relative to the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to H.R.2685, Defense Appropriations, upon reconsideration.
