The Senate will hold a cloture vote on H.R. 2146 (TPA) and upon disposition of TPA a cloture vote on the House amendment to H.R. 1295. The House will consider a series of 14 bills under suspension of the rules.

Card Act: Committee on Veterans’ Affairs was discharged from further consideration of H.R. 91, to amend title 38, United States Code, to direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to issue, upon request, veteran identification cards to certain veterans, and the bill was then passed, after agreeing to the following amendment proposed thereto:
    • McConnell (for Blumenthal) Amendment No. 2076, in the nature of a substitute.
  • Nominations Confirmed: Senate confirmed the following nominations:
    • By 81 yeas to 1 nay (Vote No. EX. 217), Peter V. Neffenger, of Ohio, to be an Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security.
    • Daniel R. Elliott III, of Ohio, to be a Member of the Surface Transportation Board for a term expiring December 31, 2018.

Today:

  • The Senate stands adjourned until 10:00am on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
  • The cloture vote on the motion to concur in the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R.2146, TPA, will occur at approximately 11:00am. If cloture is invoked, there would be up to 30 hours for debate on the motion to concur prior to a vote on the motion to concur (passage). Upon disposition of TPA, there would be an immediate cloture vote on the motion to concur in the House amendment to H.R.1295, with an amendment (Preferences and TAA).
