  • Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act–Agreement: Senate began consideration of S. 178, to provide justice for the victims of trafficking, taking action on the following amendments proposed thereto:
    • Pending:
    • Portman Amendment No. 270, to amend the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act to enable State child protective services systems to improve the identification and assessment of child victims of sex trafficking.
    • Portman Amendment No. 271, to amend the definition of ”homeless person” under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act to include certain homeless children and youth.
  • A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing for further consideration of the bill at approximately 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.

Today:

  • The Senate stands adjourned until 9:30am on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
  • Following any Leader remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning business for one hour, with the Democrats controlling the first half and Republicans controlling the final half.
