This Week’s Update

The House and Senate passed the “Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2015” (H.J. Res. 124) to fund the government at the current annual rate until December 11, 2014. Both the House and Senate are in recess until after the November 4 elections.

 

This Week in Congress

  • House – The House passed the “Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2015” (H.J. Res. 124) to fund the government at the current annual rate until December 11, 2014. The House also passed the “American Energy Solutions for Lower Costs and More American Jobs Act” (H.R. 2); the “Jobs for America Act” (H.R. 4); the “Promoting Job Creation and Reducing Small Business Burdens Act” (H.R. 5405); and H.R. 5461 to clarify the application of certain leverage and risk-based requirements under Dodd-Frank.

 

  • Senate – The Senate passed the “Continuing Appropriations Resolution, 2015” (H.J. Res. 124).  The Senate also passed the “Sunscreen Innovation Act” (S.2141) but did not invoke cloture on the “Paycheck Fairness Act” (S.2199).

  • House – The House will be in recess until November 12. 

 

  • Senate – The Senate will be in recess until November 12.
