The House delayed a vote on Continuing Resolution to provide an extension of current 2014 government funding until December 11, 2014 due to President Obama’s funding request for U.S. troops to train and equip Syrian rebels.

Yesterday:

  • The House began consideration of the “Employee Health Care Protection Act of 2013 (H.R. 3522) to authorize health insurance issuers to continue to offer for sale current group health insurance coverage in satisfaction of the minimum essential health insurance coverage requirement.

Today:

  • The House will complete consideration of the “Employee Health Care Protection Act of 2013 (H.R. 3522); the “E-LABEL Act” (H.R. 5161); the “EPS Service Parts Act of 2014” (H.R. 5057); and a bill to reinstate and extend the deadline for commencement of construction of a hydroelectric project involving the American Falls Reservoir (S. 276).

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate agreed to the motion to invoke cloture on the motion to proceed to the “Paycheck Fairness Act” (S.2199) by a vote of 73-25. The motion to proceed to S.J.Res.19, the Constitutional amendment on campaign finance, was agreed to by voice vote.

Today:

  • The Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S.2199, post-cloture.
