House Republican leaders pulled the vote on their $659 million border bill because of a lack of support, and will be in session today.

House

 

Yesterday:

  • The House agreed to the motion to disagree to the Senate Amendment to the “Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2014” (H.R. 5021) by a vote of 272-150.

Today:

  • The House will meet at 10:00 A.M. for legislative business and may consider the Supplemental Appropriations related to the situation along the Southern border.

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate agreed to the conference report to accompany the “Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act” (H.R. 3230) and the motion to recede in the amendment of the Senate to the “Highway and Transportation Funding Act” (H.R. 5021).
  • The Senate rejected a motion to waive all applicable sections of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 for the “Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act” (S. 2648) making emergency supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2014 by a vote of 50-44.

Today:

  • The Senate will be in a period of morning business until 2:00pm.
