House

 

Yesterday:

  • The House voted to adopt H. Res. 676 — “Providing for authority to initiate litigation for actions by the President or other executive branch officials inconsistent with their duties under the Constitution of the United States” by a vote of 225 – 201.

Today:

  • The House will meet at 9:00 a.m. for legislative business. First votes expected are 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.; last votes are expected: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
  • The House will complete consideration of the “Reducing Regulatory Burdens Act of 2013” (H.R. 935); H.R. 5230, to make supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2014, and for other purposes; the Senate Amendment to the “Highway and Transportation Funding Act of 2014” (H.R. 5021); and H.R. 5272, to prohibit certain actions with respect to deferred action for aliens not lawfully present in the United States, and for other purposes.

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate continued consideration of the motion to proceed to consideration of the “Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act” (S. 2648) making emergency supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2014. The Senate agreed to the motion to close further debate on the motion to proceed to consideration of the bill by a vote of 63 – 33.
  • The Senate rejected the motion to close further debate on the “Bring Jobs Home Act” (S. 2569) by a vote of 54 – 42.

Today:

  • The Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to S.2648, the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations bill, post-cloture; and will vote on the bill.
