House

 

Yesterday:

  • The House passed the Fighting Hunger Incentive Act of 2014 (H.R. 4719) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to permanently extend and expand the charitable deduction for contributions of food inventory, by a vote of 277 – 130.

Today:

  • The House will meet in pro forma session.

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate voted to reauthorize the “Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002” (S. 2244) by a vote of 93 – 4. The Senate began consideration of the motion to proceed to consideration of S. 2569, to provide an incentive for businesses to bring jobs back to America.

Today:

  • The Senate is not in session.
