The House passed the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act.

House

 

Yesterday:

  • The House passed the “Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2015” (H.R. 5016) by a vote of 228 – 195. A report was filed on H.R. 4871, to reauthorize the “Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002” and for other purposes, with an amendment.

Today:

  • The House will begin consideration of H.R. 4719 to make permanent a credit for corporations and small businesses that donate their food inventory. The chamber will also vote on a Democratic motion to instruct House conferees to support H.R. 3230 that would include language to authorize the Veterans Affairs Administration to execute 26 leases for major medical facilities at specific locations and dollar amounts.

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate rejected the motion to close further debate on the motion to proceed to consideration of the “Protect Women’s Health from Corporate Interference Act” (S. 2578) to ensure that employers cannot interfere in their employees’ birth control and other health care decisions.

Today:

  • The Senate begins debate at noon on the “Terrorism Risk Insurance Act of 2002” (S. 2244) that would extend the federal backstop for terrorism insurance, which expires at the end of the year. The chamber will consider four amendments before a vote on final passage.
