The Senate and House continue work on Appropriations bills; The House will hold elections for open Leadership positions.

House

 

Yesterday:

  • The House agreed to the motion to go to Conference on the “Veterans’ Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014” (H.R. 3230).
  • The House began debate on the “Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2015” (H.R. 4870), which provides total procurement funding of slightly more than $91 billion for fiscal year 2015.

Today:

  • The House plans to complete consideration of the “Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2015” (H.R. 4870), and begin consideration of a rule for floor debate of the bill to reauthorize the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (HR 4413).
    • Votes begin in the afternoon and could go late into the night.
  • House Republicans will hold elections for the new Majority Leader and Majority Whip

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate began consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R. 4660, the House Commerce, Justice, Science appropriations bill.

Today:

  • The Senate will resume consideration of the motion to proceed to H.R. 4660, the House Commerce, Justice, Science appropriations bill, post-cloture.
    • All but two hours of post-cloture debate time will be considered expired.
