Anti-Inversion Bills are introduced in Senate and House; The House will continue consideration of the “National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015”

House

 

Yesterday:

  • The House began consideration of H.R. 4435, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2015 for military activities of the Department of Defense and for military construction and to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year.
  • The House passed H. Res. 585 — “Providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 4660) making appropriations for the Departments of Commerce and Justice, Science, and Related Agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2015, and for other purposes; and providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 4435) to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2015 for military activities of the Department of Defense and for military construction, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes” by voice vote.

Today:

  • The House will continue consideration of the “National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015” (H.R. 4435)

 

Senate

 

Yesterday:

  • The Senate resumed consideration of the nomination of Stanley Fischer to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System; and agreed to the motion to close further debate on the nomination by a vote of 62 – 35.

Today:

  • The Senate will proceed to vote on confirmation of Stanley Fischer to be a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve.
