Senate

Yesterday:

  • The Senate passed the Streamlining Claims Processing for Federal Contractor Employees Act, H.R. 2747, to amend title 40, United States Code, to transfer certain functions from the Government Accountability Office to the Department of Labor relating to the processing of claims for the payment of workers who were not paid appropriate wages under certain provisions of such title.
  • The Senate continued consideration of the motion to proceed to consideration of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, S. 815, to prohibit the employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
    • A unanimous-consent agreement was reached providing that at approximately 10:30 a.m. today the Senate agree to the motion to proceed to consideration of the bill and begin consideration of the bill.

Today:

  • After the Senate reconvenes at 10:30am, the motion to proceed to S.815, the Employee Non-Discrimination Act will be agreed to and the Senate will begin consideration of the bill.
