  • The House agreed to suspend the rules and pass the following measures:
    • Paul Brown United States Courthouse Designation Act: H.R. 185, to designate the United States courthouse located at 101 East Pecan Street in Sherman, Texas, as the ”Paul Brown United States Courthouse”, by a \2/3\ yea-and-nay vote of 402 yeas to 1 nay, Roll No. 551;
    • Protecting Students from Sexual and Violent Predators Act: H.R. 2083, amended, to amend the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to require criminal background checks for school employees;
      • Agreed to amend the title so as to read: ”To require State educational agencies that receive funding under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 to have in effect policies and procedures on background checks for school employees.”
    • Promoting Adoption and Legal Guardianship for Children in Foster Care Act: H.R. 3205, to reauthorize and restructure the adoption incentives grant program, by a \2/3\ yea-and-nay vote of 402 yeas with none voting ”nay”, Roll No. 552; and
    • C.W. Bill Young Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Designation Act: H.R. 3302, to name the Department of Veterans Affairs medical center in Bay Pines, Florida, as the ”C.W. Bill Young Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.”

  • The House is expected to consider the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2013, H.R. 3080, Rules Committee Print (Subject to a Rule) (Sponsored by Rep.
