This Week in Congress

  • House – The House approved the “FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012” (H.R. 658) conference report by a 248-162 vote. The House also approved the “Pro-Growth Budgeting Act of 2012” (H.R. 3582) by a 242-179 vote. This legislation would “amend the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 to provide for macroeconomic analysis of the impact of legislation.” On Wednesday, the House approved the “Fiscal Responsibility and Retirement Security Act of 2011” (H.R. 1173) by a 267-159 vote.

 

  • Senate – The Senate approved the “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act” (S. 2038) by a 96-3 vote.

Next Week in Congress

  • House – The House will consider the “Civilian Property Realignment Act” (H.R. 1734), the “Expedited Legislative Line-Item Veto and Rescissions Act of 2011” (H.R. 3521), and the “Budget and Accounting Transparency Act of 2012” (H.R. 3581). The House may also debate its version of the STOCK Act.

 

  • Senate – The Senate will consider the “FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012” (H.R. 658) conference report.
